An increasingly demanding consumer has developed along with this growth, which is impacting the expectations of business buyers, including within the trade supplies sector (Distributors and Trade Merchants, Tiling companies, Kitchen & Bathrooms,and Plumbing Suppliers). This applies whether you are large or small, but for small companies it offers some big challenges. With ecommerce accounting for 21% of the UK retail market (including trade supplies), 69% of companies are planning to invest in improving their customer’s e-Commerce experience. Only 21% of companies think their current e-commerce is up to the job, so smaller companies have a unique opportunity to capitalise.
